  • Heat the ghee or olive oil in a deep non-stick pan.
  • Add the fox nuts into the pan.

        Ingredient:

        • 4 cups fox nuts/lotus seeds (makhana/phool makhana)
        • 2-3 teaspoon olive oil or ghee
        • Rock salt or salt to taste
        • dry red chilli flakes as required
        • 1 teaspoon chaat masala or dried herb

        Method:

        1. Heat the ghee or olive oil in a deep non-stick pan.
        2. Add the makhanas and a little salt and chilli flakes and sauté on a medium flame for 8 -10 minutes until the nuts are crispy.
        3. Remove from the flame, combine the makhanas and chaat masala or mix herbs immediately transfer into a deep bowl and mix well. 
        4. Once cooled, store it in an airtight container.
        5. Serve with hot tea or coffee.
