Nuts Chikki(Brittle)Recipe

  • 1/4 cup Almonds 
  • 1/4 cup Cashew nuts 
  • ¼ cup peanut 
  • 1/4 cup raisins(optional)
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery (unclarified whole cane sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee 

  1. Roast the peanuts Cool and remove the skin.
  2. Roast the almonds and cashew nuts lightly and chop roughly.
  3. Grease a tray.
    1. Heat the ghee in the pan over low heat.
    2. Add the jaggery and mix well, cook till a thick syrup is formed, while stirring continuously.
    3. Add roasted cashew nuts, wall nuts, almonds, raisins and cardamom powder and mix well. 
    4. Immediately pour the mixture on the greased surface and roll it out thinly using a greased rolling pin.
    5. Cut it into square pieces using a sharp knife. 
    6. Allow it to cool completely and Serve.
