Ingredients:
For Relish/Chutney:
- ½ cup Peanuts
- ¼ cup grated coconut.
- 1 small piece Ginger (optional)
- Tamarind pulp/paste to taste
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 Red chilies or green chili (optional)
For Tempering:
- 1-2 teaspoon Oil
- ½ teaspoon Mustard seed (rai)
- 1 teaspoon black gram (Urad dal)
- Pinch of Asafetida (optional)
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- Roast the peanuts and remove its skin to some extent.
Method:
- Grind roasted peanuts, coconut, chilies, tamarind and salt first.
- Then add more water as required and grind it to a slightly smooth paste.
- Heat oil, add mustard seeds, when mustard splutters, add urad dal and curry leaves and pour it over the chutney.
- Mix well and serve with idli and dosa.
