Ingredients:
- ¼ cup soaked Sago (sabudana),
- 1 Litter Milk
- pinch of Saffron (kesar)
- Few nuts
- ¼ cup or to taste Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Preparation:
- Soak saffron flakes in a 1/4 cup of hot milk for 10 minutes
- Soak the sabudana in water for 10-15 minutes.
Method:
- Boil the milk in a deep non stick pan. Add the saffron powder and add the sabudana after draining the water.
- Cook on low heat until the sabudana becomes swollen and translucent.
- Stir continually until the sabudana is fully cooked and the kheer thickened.
- Add nuts of your choice, sugar and green cardamom powder and mix well. Serve it hot or chill and serve.
